glass measuring cup

spatula
loaf pan
parchment paper
wire cooling rack
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon granulated onion
- 12 oz beer
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- flaky sea salt and fresh ground pepper, for garnish
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
In a measuring cup, stir the beer and honey together.
Pour the beer mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined — do not overmix.
Transfer the dough to a lightly greased, parchment-lined loaf pan.
Pour the melted butter over the top, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt and black pepper if using.
Bake at 375°F for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the bread rest in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly before slicing.
Slice and serve warm, ideally with a little extra butter.
If you prefer a less sweet loaf, simply reduce the honey a little.
