Ingredients

Instructions

  • Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • In a measuring cup, stir the beer and honey together.
  • Pour the beer mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined — do not overmix.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly greased, parchment-lined loaf pan.
  • Pour the melted butter over the top, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt and black pepper if using.
  • Bake at 375°F for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the bread rest in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly before slicing.
  • Slice and serve warm, ideally with a little extra butter.

Notes

If you prefer a less sweet loaf, simply reduce the honey a little.
