Coffee and Tea Essentials – Coffee and tea are my favorite vehicles for caffeine and this is a list of my essentials. I use each and every one of these products – they are my must-haves and most-loved when it comes to two of my favorite beverages. Most of these things, I use every single day.
So, pull up a chair, pour a big mug of steamy joe (or tea), and get comfy. We’ve got some chatting to do!
Let’s get started!

Coffee Essentials
The Machines
All In One Combination Coffee Maker
I have had my De’Longhi All in One Combination Coffee Maker for several years now and it is awesome. Its a true drip coffee/cappuccino system all in one.
I start my day out with drip coffee that I set on auto brew so when I arise from my slumber, all I have to do is stumble to the kitchen to get that cup of ambition. See what I did there?!
In the afternoons, I usually crave an espresso drink, and, with this machine, you can do it all! Cappuccinos, lattes, americanos – you name it, you can make it with this incredible addition to you caffeine workhorses.
Nespresso Machine
The Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville is one of my very favorite toys. If I am in the hurry, but still want a quick espresso drink, this machine is my go-to.
The pods are all wonderful. They come in a variety of flavors, strengths, and caffeine levels. You can’t go wrong!
Coffee Bean Grinder
There is no comparison in whole bean vs. already ground coffee, in my opinion. Grinding fresh, if you are able, is hands down the best option. The Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder has been my grinder of choice for years. It’s definitely an essential if you like to grind your own beans like I do.
The Old School Classics
The French Press
Can it get more classic than a Bodum Chambord French Press? I think not. I love to use mine on lazy Saturday mornings. It makes the best cup of coffee with minimal effort. I also use mine to brew loose leaf tea. Sometimes, a little slow down is a good thing and this is just the ticket!
The Moka Pot
Another all-time quintessential is the Bialetti Moka Stovetop Espresso Maker. There is just something about making a perfect espresso on the stovetop -the way its been done for almost a century. Take a minute for yourself and enjoy an espresso in the most wonderful, classic way.
The Classic Whistling Kettle
I come from a long line of kettle lovers. We cannot and will not use a microwave to heat water. The Le Creuset ® Classic 1.7-Qt. Oyster Grey Whistling Stovetop Tea Kettle is the water boiler of choice as far as I’m concerned. For you teas and your French presses, this is a definite essential. And, you just gotta love that whistle when the water is ready!
Mugs and Glasses
Double-Walled Coffee and Tea Mug
Do you ever have those mornings when you pour a cup of perfect coffee and the kids go wild and 45 minutes later, you find said cup and it’s cold? I don’t think I’m alone in this lovely adventure in parenting.
Double-Walled Coffee Mugs are a wonderful solution to the insanity that is the early mornings with small children. These mugs insulate so well that you can go chase a half-crazed preschooler with a sippy cup and then come back and your coffee will be just as hot as when you left it.
Drinking Glasses
Drinking Glasses with Bamboo Lids and Glass Straw are too cute not to have. I use mine for afternoon iced coffees and teas. I love the shape of the glasses and the straws are incredibly sturdy. This set comes with bamboo lids that help to prevent any possible spillage. Win-win and cute-cute!
Coffee and Tea Accessories
Coffee and Tea Storage
Let’s talk about storage options for coffee beans and tea bags/loose tea. These Hold Everything Coffee & Tea Stacking Canisters are absolutely perfect! They even have attached measuring spoons. Decorative and functional -that’s my kind of storage!
Cream and Sugar Servers
Even if you don’t use cream and sugar on the regular, it’s always a great idea to have for guests. This Merge Cream and Sugar Set is just right. I love the simple design.
Frother
I think it is a great idea to have a good quality frother on hand. The Aerolatte Handheld Milk Frother is just that. I use mine to froth cream and/or milk, to help dissolve collagen, and even to emulsify coconut oil into my drinks. Its a multitasking gadget for sure!
My Favorite Coffee and Tea
Favorite Coffee
The Organic French Roast Coffee from Thrive Market is my all-time, everyday favorite. The price point is great, its regeneratively grown, and ethically sourced direct from farmers.
It’s a coffee that tastes amazing and one you can feel good about buying!
Favorite Tea
We may need moment to describe just how wonderful this tea is. It’s my all-time favorite and I have a cup of Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea almost every single day.
If the perfect cinnamon candy existed as a tea, this would be it. And, there’s no sugar! You need to add this to your cart immediately!
