I've said it once, and I'll say it again, make your own seasoning blends. They take no time to make. Within minutes you can have the most amazing spice blend that you will use over and over again. Also, you can customize the flavors. Like your Cajun seasoning a little spicier? Add some cayenne or crush pepper flakes.
Something else I love about making my own spice blends is that there are zero fillers or strange anti-caking agents. If you look at the ingredient list in a lot of store bought seasoning blends, you'll notice there are substances in there to prevent the spices from sticking together. They are not necessary, and a lot of times, not good for you.
And lastly, making your own seasoning blends will save you money. I keep a very basic collection of spices and herbs in my pantry. At almost anytime, I can create a blend for a number of recipes. I'm not paying an ludicrous amount of money for something I can make myself in just a few minutes.

If you like a spicier cajun seasoning, add some cayenne or crush red pepper flakes to taste.
For storage, keep this seasoning mix in an airtight container and it will last up to a year. I can promise you that you'll like this seasoning blend so much, you won't be storing any that long!
