Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are the perfect marriage of a juicy cheeseburger and a crispy wonton. They are perfectly crunchy on the outside and filled with a superbly delicious and tender cheesy burger mix. And, let's not forget the sauce. It is divine. I said it. DIVINE.
The egg rolls are simple to make and there is no deep frying needed. They crisp up in oven without the need to deep fry and the sauce takes mere minutes. It's a win-win recipe that everyone will love!

Cheeseburger. Egg Roll. Let that sink in just for a minute. Now, think about the combination of the two. Absolutely delicious. So incredibly easy to make. And, that dipping sauce. Soooo good!
My kids go nuts for these. They are fantastic for game days and as appetizers for parties. I will even make them for weeknight dinners when we just need to switch it up.
The flavors are classic cheeseburger in a handheld package. The dip is perfectly tangy and creamy. All together, it's one of our all-time favorites!

what goes in it
For the cheeseburger part of our cheeseburger egg rolls, we need some ground beef. Cooked with onions and garlic, naturally. Throw in some bacon too if you're feeling extra. I'll give you a high five if you do it this way
Yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cheese give the ground beef a light yet very flavorful sauce situation.
For the absolutely delicious, creamy, tangy dipping sauce, grab some smoked paprika, dill pickle relish, mayonnaise, and ketchup. You probably have all of this in the fridge or pantry right now.
You can find egg roll wrappers in the refrigerator section of the grocery store. I can even find them in my small town grocery store. I prefer using an avocado spray oil to coat the egg rolls before cooking.

how to make them
I love this cheeseburger egg rolls recipe. It's so much fun to make. It's such nostalgia in a handheld package. And, they're easy, delicious, and, allll the things!
The Quick Run Down:
- Brown the beef with the garlic and onion
- Add mustard, Worcestershire, and cheese to the beef mixture
- Assemble the egg rolls (this is super easy. don't worry)
- Spray with avocado oil and bake until crispy
- Make the sauce
- Dip the egg rolls in the sauce.
- Devour
This Is Super Important
Because the cheeseburger egg rolls are oven baked, make sure that each one is completely covered (lightly) in the oil. If the egg rolls aren't they will not turn that beautiful golden brown or get crispy. And, no one, I mean no one, wants a soggy egg roll.
I use avocado oil spray in the recipe, but feel free to use what you have. However, I would recommend something that is more neutral in flavor!

serving suggestions
When do I serve these little handheld delights? I make Cheeseburger Egg Rolls for dinner whenever I'm feeling something different from out weekly roasted chicken. I keep them on hand for after-school snacks. They're also a great for a quick lunch when I don't have time for anything else - I just recrisp them in the air fryer!

frequently asked questions
How could I make these cheeseburger egg rolls gluten-free?
Cheeseburger Egg Rolls can be made gluten-free by substituting the egg roll wrappers for rice paper! Check with the package instructions first, but basically you will soak the paper in water to make them pliable. Then simply follow the same instruction as the egg rolls. They can be crisped in the oven or in the air fryer.
Can you make this recipe low-carb?
Why, yes. Yes, you can! Enter: the lettuce wrap. Just spoon the cheeseburger mixture onto a large leaf of lettuce and drizzle with the sauce. This is a simple and delicious way to watch the extra carbs!
Are there other ways to make the cheeseburger egg rolls crispy?
These Cheeseburger Egg Roll can also be deep fried or cooked in an air fryer!
What about a dairy-free version?
The only thing you would need to change to make this recipe dairy-free is to omit the shredded cheese. Either omit it completely or substitute with your favorite non-dairy cheese of choice.
Can I freeze the cheeseburger egg rolls?
This is a great recipe to make large batches and freeze for future use. Make the egg rolls, but don't add the oil and do not cook. Put them in a freezer safe, zip top bag and freeze until you're ready to eat. When you are ready, thaw, brush with oil, and cook until crispy. Make the sauce while the egg rolls cook!
What do I do with leftovers?
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Simply crisp them up in the oven or air fryer when you're ready to eat! If you reheat them in the microwave, they'll still be tasty, just not crispy.

Cheeseburger Egg Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 med onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 pkg egg roll wrappers
- avocado oil spray
Cheeseburger Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup dill pickle relish
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- kosher salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- cayenne, optional for a little spice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- In a cast iron skillet, brown the beef with the onions and garlic.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and shredded cheese to the beef mixture. Mix until combined and remove from the heat.
- To make the egg rolls, scoop 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture onto the middle of the egg roll wrapper. Using a pastry brush, paint a line of water around the edge of the wrapper. Fold and roll up the wrappers like a burrito. Place on the baking sheet.
- Lightly coat the egg rolls with avocado oil. I use avocado oil spray to make this easy.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy, flipping the egg rolls halfway.
- Mix the sauce ingredients together.
- Garnish the egg rolls with fresh herbs, sesame seeds, and extra smoked paprika. Dip in the sauce and enjoy!

We have fallen in love with these. It’s an easy dinner favorite now that we make when everyone is tired of the same thing. The sauce is amazing. I add a little jalapeño juice to make it spicy. Thank you!
