Once you try my version of blue cheese salad dressing, you'll never buy it from the store again. It's rich and thick and creamy with the perfect amount of tang and blue cheesiness!
Not only is homemade blue cheese salad dressing delicious, it's also incredibly easy to make. It takes literal minutes and will last about a week in the fridge. That's plenty of time to enjoy it as a veggie dip or drizzle over your favorite mix of salad greens.
Serve it on a drizzled on a wedge salad or with air fryer chicken wings as a dip!
What You'll Need
- mayonnaise and sour cream - for the creamy component and tang
- good quality blue cheese - a must for that unparalleled flavor
- fresh parsley - to brighten up this rich dressing
- Worcestershire sauce - gives great umami and depth of flavor
- white wine vinegar - the vinegar cuts through the richness and gives the dressing bite
- kosher salt and fresh ground pepper - basics and must-haves

Tips and Tricks
- Let the Blue Cheese Salad Dressing sit in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
- Use this as a dressing for your salads, but also serve it with wings, veggie platters, and even as a sandwich spread.
- Use a good quality blue cheese. My all-time favorite blue cheese comes from Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. It's incredible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this blue cheese salad dressing gluten-free?
Yes, it is! No need to worry about that dietary concern here.
Can I use pre-crumbled blue cheese?
You can, but I do not recommend it. The stuff that is already crumbled is usually coated in an anti-caking agent and just does not taste as good. Try a few different types and find your favorite!
What are the storage instructions?
This dressing will stay good 3-4 days in an airtight container in the fridge. I don't think ours ever last that long!
